Managing your plan, plug-ins, and billing
Understand what's included in your plan, how to add plug-ins, and how to manage your subscription.

Your plan
Avro has two tiers:
Free plan — Core features for a solo operator: clients, jobs, calendar, basic invoicing, and quotes. Limited to a small number of staff seats.
Pro plan (AUD $99/month) — Everything in free, plus unlimited staff seats, advanced reporting, follow-up automation, and the ability to install paid plug-ins.
You can see your current plan and upgrade at any time from Settings > Billing.
Upgrading to Pro
- Go to Settings > Billing.
- Click "Upgrade to Pro". You'll be taken to a Stripe-hosted checkout page.
- Enter your card details. Avro uses Stripe for billing — your card details are held securely by Stripe, not by Avro.
- Confirm. Your account upgrades immediately. The Pro features are available straight away.
Plug-ins
Plug-ins are optional add-ons that extend Avro for specific needs or industries. Each plug-in costs AUD $19/month on top of your Pro subscription (some plug-ins require Pro).
Examples of available plug-ins include industry-specific report templates, stock and chemical management tools, and integrations with third-party services.
To browse and install plug-ins:
- Go to Settings > Plugin API Keys to manage API access for external plug-ins you've already installed.
- The full plug-in catalogue is available at Plugins in the left sidebar. Browse by category, read the description, and click to install.
Managing your billing
From Settings > Billing you can:
- View your current plan and next billing date.
- See which plug-ins are active and their costs.
- Update your payment method.
- Cancel your subscription.
Billing is managed through Stripe. When you click "Manage billing", you're taken to your Stripe customer portal where you can update card details, download receipts, and cancel.
What happens if a payment fails
If a payment fails (expired card, insufficient funds), Avro will retry automatically. The billing page will show a warning. If the issue isn't resolved within a few days, your account will be downgraded to the free plan and Pro features will be paused until the next successful payment.
Common questions
Is there a contract or lock-in? No. Avro is month-to-month. You can cancel at any time from Settings > Billing and your Pro access continues until the end of the paid period.
Do plug-ins require the Pro plan? Most paid plug-ins require Pro. Some free plug-ins may be available on the free plan — the plug-in description will say.
What happens to my data if I downgrade or cancel? Your data is retained. You lose access to Pro features, but all clients, jobs, invoices, and history remain in your account.
Can I get a receipt for my subscription payments? Yes. Stripe emails a receipt after every successful charge. You can also download past receipts from the Stripe billing portal (accessed via Settings > Billing).
