Inviting your team

Add staff members so they can log in, see their jobs, and update the system from the field.

Overview

Avro supports multiple users under one business account. Each team member gets their own login. You control what they can see and do through their role: Owner, Admin, or Technician.


Roles at a glance

Owner — Full access to everything, including billing and settings. There can only be one Owner (the person who created the account).

Admin — Can manage clients, jobs, invoices, quotes, and most settings. Cannot access billing or change the Owner's details.

Technician — Can view and update their own assigned jobs. Cannot create invoices, change settings, or see other technicians' schedules.


Steps

  1. Go to Settings > Team.

  2. Click "Invite team member".

  3. Enter their email address and select their role. Double-check the email — the invite goes to that address.

  4. Click "Send invite". Avro sends the team member an email with a link to accept the invite and set up their password.

  5. The invite appears as "Pending" until they accept. You can resend or cancel a pending invite from the Team page.

  6. Once they accept, they appear as an active team member and can be assigned to jobs.


Tips

Staff on the free plan are limited to a small number of seats. If you've hit the seat limit, you'll see an alert when you try to add someone. Upgrading to Pro removes this limit — see Settings > Billing.

On the Pro plan, adding staff beyond the included seats incurs an additional per-seat fee. The exact pricing is shown on the billing page before you confirm.


Common questions

Can a team member change their own role? No. Only the Owner or an Admin can change roles.

What happens if I remove a team member? Their account is deactivated and they can no longer log in. Their historical work (jobs they were assigned to, notes they added) is preserved — nothing is deleted.

Can I set a technician to only see their own jobs? That's the default behaviour for the Technician role. They see the calendar filtered to their assigned jobs.

What if the invite email doesn't arrive? Ask the recipient to check their spam folder. You can also resend the invite from Settings > Team by clicking the pending invite row.
