Setting your business hours

Tell Avro when your business operates so the calendar highlights after-hours bookings.

Overview

Business hours in Avro do two things: they shade non-operating time slots on the calendar (so they're visually distinct from available time), and they trigger a warning if you schedule a job outside your normal hours. This is especially useful if you have staff booking jobs and want to avoid accidental after-hours scheduling.

Steps

  1. Go to Settings in the left sidebar.

  2. Click "Business Hours".

  3. Toggle each day on or off. Days you're closed (e.g. Sunday) can be toggled off entirely.

  4. Set your start and end time for each active day. For example: Monday–Friday 7:00 am – 5:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am – 12:00 pm.

  5. Save your hours.

Once saved, the calendar will shade any time slots outside these hours. Jobs booked in shaded slots will display a warning — Avro won't prevent the booking, just flags it so you can double-check.

Tips

If your hours vary seasonally (for example, you work longer in summer), update your business hours at the start of the busy period and again when it eases off. There's no scheduling for future hour changes — it's a manual update.

Common questions

Do business hours affect when reminders are sent? Not in the current version. Reminder dispatch is handled by the follow-up system, which has its own schedule. Business hours only affect the calendar display.

What if a job legitimately has to be booked outside business hours? Go ahead and book it. The warning is just a heads-up — it doesn't block the booking.

Do my team members see the same business hours? Yes. Business hours are set at the business level and apply to everyone on your account.

Can I set different hours for different staff members? Not currently. Business hours are a single set of rules for the whole business.
